Moyno screw pumps are single-screw rotary pumps. The pumping action consists of a single helical rotor eccentrically rolling the stator in a double-threaded helix in which the rotors collectively form a series of stators spaced 180 degrees apart.
As the rotor rotates, the cavity evolves from suction to discharge. As one cavity decreases, the opposite cavity grows at exactly the same rate. Therefore, the two discharges are constant volume. No pulse positive displacement.
